Genitourinary and Reproductive Course

 PURPOSE:     
 
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student genitourinary and reproductive nursing care concepts that will enhance their ability to provide care for patients with diseases and disorders of the genitourinary and reproductive systems utilizing nursing principles. (34.10, 34.11)
 
COURSE DESCRIPTION:    
 
This course will review genitourinary and reproductive structure and function (28.06, 28.07), identify signs and symptoms of diseases/disorders of the genitourinary and reproductive system (34.01), identify diagnostic tests and medications used in the treatment of genitourinary and reproductive diseases/disorders (34.02, 34.03), and identify nutritional needs of patients with genitourinary and reproductive diseases/disorders (34.04).

Hello PN 3 students ! You will be required to do the GU Collaborative Learning Activity Project #1 when taking the Renal Unit of study. You can get a jump start by reviewing the project now and asking related questions. It counts as 20% of your grade for the Renal Unit.
